Crusade 19 - Cut it Out!

*** UPDATED: Sprayed Stencil At Bottom ***

This months Crusade "Cut it Out" prompted the team to create and cut their own stencils. I have been focusing the "new tools" primarily for my personal art journals/visual journals. I love the personalization and uniqueness these projects give. I used an Exacto knife for carving and blank file folders for the stencil. The theme for this set will be "Fire" - specifically "Flames". I can't wait to actually try them. I'm still in the cutting process now... and have quite a few more I want to cut before I paint/spray them.

*** UPDATE ***

I like the stencil alot. Just had gold spray paint on hand - so now I am going to go buy a few basic colors. I plan on replacing the stencil slightly off and highlighting with a darker color. Still working on the spread... will add more to it in the future... but love the stencil addition. I will absolutely be making more.

Maralena - nice looking stencils! I love seeing that they are cut from file folders - a terrific resource for making masks and stencils and one of my favorite materials to use for journal pages too. Thanks for sharing with the street team.

These look great and I am sure will lead to some fantastic journal pages. They are "hot!"

LOL, "Hot". Hopefully they will be safe for paper. They should be fun to use in the journal project with Nicci and I.

Love the stencils Maralena. The blue blocks on my blog are called moldable foam blocks and they're made by Clearsnap. You can get them over the internet.

Your stencils are graet and I love how you have a theme going. The pages are off to a great start and I think will look fab with the overlay.
